Hi There!

My name is Mark Mason, and I am the host of the Late Night Internet Marketing Podcast.  You’re here because you recently heard me talking about eMail marketing on The Cliff Ravenscraft Show [epidsode 471].

I have to be honest with you.  When my friend Cliff (the skinny guy in the picture) invited me to talk about an email marketing topic on his show, I knew immediately that I needed to over-deliver to his audience.

After all, Cliff Ravenscraft is the King of Can’t-Live-Without Content.  No way I could show up to the show empty handed.  Not given the expectations Cliff had set for his audience.  No way.

First and foremost, email marketing has to deliver value. We have a word for email that lacks value — we call it SPAM.

Be Transparent

Great emails have to tell it like it is.  There’s no room for sleasy copwriting or other shady tactics.  Authenticity is key.

Serve People

In the final analysis, great email marketing serves the people on your list.  People should be better off having read your email.
