I am actually happy to help provide an a-ha moment for you to actually see that you have already participated in things that "could have" turned into something bigger.

However, don't beat yourself up about the past. Take a passion that you have today. Create and environment to bring together like minded people. Take your experiences of the past, your knowledge of what's available today and do something truly life changing with it!

James, I don't take that the wrong way at all. I wish so bad I had stayed with all of this over the years. Almost 10 years ago I started doing web sites. I was HUGE into an online game called Opposing Force. It was a Half-Life game mod.

Anyway, I created an incredible PHPNuke web site that delivered between 1 and 5 gig of data a day. I ended up running my own dedicated linux server with gameservers running with it.

I really created a hub where like minded gamers could get together and share what they loved.

The problem was I didn't know what to do with what I loved. That was creating online communities. Cliff, I was good at it and I did it before it was cool. This was back during 01 and 02.

I don't know why I'm dumping all of this into this post. I guess just hearing you explain stuff that I was doing so long ago is encouraging in one way and frustrating in another. I had a passion and no way of learning how to take it to the next level.

I just gave up on it all and moved on.

Who knows where I would be now if I had had the kind of support and encouragement then as is available now.

Okay, that's the end of my rant. I hope you don't feel like this is some kind of an attack. If anything I'm just a little envious, in a non-sinful way, lol.

I hope you take this the right way.

I know this stuff!
