Edirol Recorder and Voice Mail Options
In this episode, I answer some questions from one of my clients who has recently ordered a few pieces of audio gear from me. He’s considering the purchase of the Edirol R-09HR recorder and wanted to know if I recommended that he should use an external mic when doing interviews.
I share a few sample recordings using the Edirol with and without an external microphone. In the example where I do use an external microphone, I’m using the Electrovoice RE50/B microphone. Both the Edirol and the Mic are available for purchase through me!

In this email, I share a direct message that I received from my friend, Daniel Johnson, Jr. He had provided me a link to this wonderful blog entry from Seth Godin. That of course inspired some additional thoughts on my mindset related to marketing your podcast.
Also in this episode, I answer a few listener questions. Steve McQueen from MCNationPodcast.com asked about placing a TalkShoe recording and putting it on your own podcast site. Handling Critical Feedback
In this episode, I share three of the most recent critical feedback emails that I’ve received. Two of the three had a very negative tone with the criticisms. In each of these three examples, I share how it is possible to turn these types of emails into an opportunity to build a relationship. It’s not always possible to do this. However, when it comes to building community, it is important to understand that it really does happen one person at a time.
