  • Terrific episode Cliff and gang.  Thank you again for everything you do and for including me in your meet up.  You continue to be such a strong and positive mentor for me.  See you next year in Vegas 🙂

  • DanielHayes

This was great!  Albert’s Elvis is awesome! I wish I would have stuck around that night! Thanks again for an amazing night of meeting great people and new friends!

  • @Shelia I am honored to be a mentor to you Shelia.  You are doing some amazing things.  So glad you made it to the meetup!

  • @DanielHayes You Bet Daniel.  It was AWESOME to get to meet you face to face.  I enjoyed our nine mile walk through CES!  What a great experience!

  • Adam Silver

    Hey Cliff @ Gang  –
I agree.. THIS segment rocked… and it was great to hear voiced to new “Friends”.  LOVED the Elvis Albert AND the Walken (I do one as well!)

Looking forward to starting my podcast in one of the MANY categories I work in.. but will take Cliff’s suggestion to heart.. just start with 1 !  (ala conversation with Farnoosh Brock few episodes back!)

All the best and see you all next year.

  • @Adam Silver Glad you enjoyed the episode Adam.  Congrats on your decision to get started with a podcast.    Many blessings!

  • JR G

Cliff,  What is your take on the recent news on Personal Audio Asserts Podcasting patent against media companies.  I see that they already won against Apple and now going after The Adam Corolla Show and Stuff You Should Know podcasts.  How do you think it will affect us smaller podcasters and yourself?

  • @JR G The law suite they won against Apple was not for Podcasting, but a “playlist patent.”

I will share more of my thoughts on this in episode 292.

  • Cliff,  I’m really bummed we didn’t have a chance to talk more at NMX. It was so nice of Peder, Dustin and Jenn to say such sweet things about me, they made me blush! This podcasting/ new media community has been so great I’m so very happy to be a part of it.

I’m taking your advice and taking things to the next level, my podcast will launch by mid-February.  Thank you for being such an inspiration!

  • leitefrog

Great show Cliff, hit me to the quick. I’ve been lamenting the numbers dropping, but you are so right about focusing on being an influence. Keep up the great work. And i will continue to shake off the pod-fade.

  • @Cynthia OhSoPinteresting I am so upset that I didn’t get to spend more time getting to talk with you.  You have always been such a great encourager to me via Twitter.  Please know that I very much appreciate having you as a part of my online community.  So thankful that others had a chance to connect with you though.  They all came away inspired. 😉

  • @leitefrog Thank you so much.  Did you see this video clip I made of my talk? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAvYx81mpH8

  • leitefrog

@Cliff Ravenscraft  I actually got a virtual ticket for NMX, and was just downloading your talk.  I’ve watched Leo’s keynote, and you’re next.

  • @leitefrog  Excellent.  Please let me know how the audio turned out.  I did a lot of walking away from the microphone.

  • leitefrog

    @Cliff Ravenscraft
Sounded fine. Plus you did play by play on getting a drink, so there were no unexpected pauses.  🙂  Information in the talk was outstanding. I really like when you talked about becoming part of other communities, but not just to spam them, but be a real part of the community. I know too many who jump into groups online to self promote, but don’t add value. I’ve always tried to be a good net citizen in the community I want to be part of.  Always enjoy listening to you. Was glad to meet you at CNMC 2010. Thanks again.

  • @leitefrog So glad it turned out well.  That session was so much fun.  Thank you so much for the feedback!

  • FredFirestine

I don’t listen all the way through every episode of PAM (sorry @Cliff Ravenscraft !) but when I heard the panel introduce themselves, how could I turn away, as a proud Canadian? BTW, I remember a day a few years ago when Cliff dragged me around NYC to do some sightseeing (ha ha). I guess I was the lucky one that day! We had a great meetup at dinnertime, though. Back to the episode… It was fun to hear everyone’s perspectives and outlook for podcasting over the next few years!
