Ustream.tv And HTML5 Chat Working On An iPad!

by Cliff Ravenscraft on January 11, 2012

I am so excited to share that I have found a way to create a live show page that will play both my Ustream.tv live video feed and an HTML5 chat room on the same page.

The fact is that I’ve had the ability to do both the video and chat on the same page for a very long time. However, this is the FIRST TIME I’ve been able to get both to work on a single page where it actually works ON AN IPAD!

If you didn’t know this already, I stream live every Thursday from 9am to about about 3pm Eastern Time at http://gspn.tv/live.

This is nice, but i think Chatrool is also available via ipad (also HTML5), but i agree they had their period of shaky system.

But if i were you i would choose for RumbleTalk which is both ipad oriented

but has more social connectivity to boost the chat.Chatters can invite their friends to the chat via simple invite to facebook and twitter.Chatters can scan a chat QR code and  take the chat with them (ipad/mobile).

You can add images and videos to the chat..........

And much more !!

@onlinemq Thanks for the feedback.  The folks at RumbleTalk are great.  For now, though, I've been very happy with the Ning chat.  When I have more time to test new chat, RumbleTalk will be my next visit.

Way to go @gspn ! I'm always on the run here on campus but there is wi-fi everywhere so now I can listen while I work.

@jwilkers Glad to report that it has all worked the past two weeks and I'm ready to give it a third run today. ;)
