In last week's episode, I talked about how excited I was to be heading off, this week, for the Tony Robbins event called Unleashing The Power Within. I also shared how excited I was about learning from one of his information products that I had purchased, called Creating Lasting Change.
After hearing last week's episode, a concerned listener wrote to me saying that he was alarmed and that the first part of that episode sounded so unlike me that it made his skin crawl. The concerned listener then cautioned me, saying that Tony teaches NLP, which has been debunked many times, and that I'd do well to save my hard-earned cash for things that have true value, not on pseudo science.
Knowing the person that sent me this feedback, I'm convinced of the kind and caring heart in which this advice was given. The feelings expressed in this feedback are fully aligned with the mindset I once had on this issue, years ago, when a few folks had recommended that I read the book “Think And Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill.
The main focus of this episode is how my thinking has changed, over the years, as it relates to my comfort level in learning things from those who may also teach some things that I very much disagree with. I'm so excited to have had my great friend, Ray Edwards, join me in a conversation about this topic.
As for the title of this week's episode? That comes from one of Tony Robbin's many teachings that I do believe in strongly. A teaching that has the has the power to profoundly change the lives of those who embrace it.
I sincerely hope that you'll enjoy this episode.
