Tagging Your MP3 Files – Many New Podcasters Miss This Step

by Cliff Ravenscraft on October 21, 2010

I often get emails that say something lik this….

My artwork shows up when I do a search for my podcast in the iTunes store, but it does not show up in my library. I changed a couple of things in my feedburner, however it still hasn’t changed in my itunes library. Any ideas? Thanks!

This video is my response to this question:

As mentioned in the video, you can get the ID3 Tag Editor for the Mac at by CLICKING HERE. Windows users can get the MP3 Tag software by CLICKING HERE.

Thanks for this video Cliff. I took your advice about taking action with a podcast and I already have two podcasts up now but now I'm working on learning more of the details and this is going to be a very important step.

cliff ravenscraft Which size do you use for your graphic when you are tagging an MP3? 150x150 or 600x600? The video is great but doesn't address this. Thanks!!!

Thanks for the tool, very helpful.

Glad to help. Thanks for the comment Robinson.

When you click on the Name, it actually pulls the artwork from one of the downloaded episodes. You may be subscribed to a feed where I have different episodes all put into a single feed.

Preach it, brother! It amazes me how many people don't tag their mp3 files!

Thanks for the comment John!

Cliff, thanks for this great tip! I've been podcasting for a while, and never new about tagging for an image. Thanks again.

Nigel.

I am so glad that I helped you discover this valuable step. Thanks for sharing!
